The newly launched Wharton Sports Business Initiative (WSBI) has scored a touchdown on its opening drive. The WSBI successfully partnered with the National Football League (NFL) and the NFL Players Association to provide a business training program designed to prepare current players for their post-NFL careers.
Bull Hog Durham This past weekend saw the Wharthogs' rugby season come to an end in desolate Danville, VA, with a loss to London Business School in the winner's bracket of the MBA Rugby World Championships. The Wharton Business Plan Competition (www.whartonbpc.com) has announced the eight finalists who will vie for $75,000 in prizes at the annual Venture Finals taking place Tuesday, April 26 at the Wharton School's Jon M. Huntsman Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
